It’s been 12 years since The Featherstonehaughs (pronounced Fan-shaws) took to the stage without The Cholmondeleys (pronounced Chum-lees).
This autumn they’re touring the UK with one brand new piece of work and the return of a classic.
EDITS is the highly anticipated new work by Lea Anderson for her six strong, all male dance company. Taking to extremes Lea’s translation of the conventions of film, photography and
painting into dance, EDITS stylishly draws on the peculiar elasticity of filmic time, the dramatic rhythm of film editing, and the ability to heighten effect through extreme close up.
The Featherstonehaughs (and all female co-company The Cholmondeleys) have been working under the directorship of Lea Anderson, a leading figure in British contemporary dance, for over 25 years. Challenging and exciting, visually stunning and often featuring unique music, the next Lea Anderson work is always an eagerly anticipated event.
