Belonging

The aim of this project is to work with the Polish community around themes of 'Belonging', in terms of belonging to a place, a sense of belonging in relationships and physical belongings and how all of these aspects affect our sense of well being and mental health.  Through Dance and Drama workshops, we will work with children from the polish community from Shortwood and St Patricks Primary Schools and BRJ and HLC secondary schools but extending this to also work with their families making it more of a community-wide project. 

A video artist will work to document the project, working with the young people to create a film.  The project will culminate in a joint showing of this film at one of the schools or in the local community, not just for those involved in the project but also for those outside the Polish community.
