This annual programme is for artists at an early stage in their choreographic career, with some successful professional choreographic experience and an ambition to grow and further develop their practice. The programme enables experimentation and exploration of choreographic ideas in a supportive environment and is designed to enable a step-change for the artist.

Choreography Award recipients receive:-

  • bespoke support in the form of studio and production space
  • advice and mentoring
  • £1000 cash bursary
  • the opportunity to present work to industry peers as part of Dance Insights sharing event

The programme aims to support up to 4 artists per year and is accessed through an open application process, with one call out per year. This annual application cycle enables successful applicants to incorporate the dx Choreography Award residency into their project development.
