THIS CLASS HAS LIMITED CAPACITY AND TICKETS CAN ONLY BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE ONLINE. Please read DanceXchange’s Covid-19 safety procedures to ensure you can return to the studio with us safely. You should only attend if you can present evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken no more than 24 hours prior to your arrival.

In this class you will learn the basics of Irish dance light shoe technique. You will practice the main steps needed to dance the four basic light shoe dances (reel, light jig, slip jig and hop jig) and some traditional ceili (group) dances. Irish dance is a fun, upbeat dance style where the only thing you need is yourself and water! If you don’t have Irish dance shoes (called ghillies) you are encouraged to bring ballet or jazz shoes if you have them, but socks will be sufficient if you do not have any of these.

Max 20 participants.
